Im going to go with Summertown in this one. They are extremely familiar with the facility. They dont have to travel 2 hours beforehand. They have the much deeper bench. I saw Huntingtondon play only 7 girls on Monday, with 6 being extensively. If that happens tonight, they get ran on alot. I didnt see the Fillies run any real set plays on the offensive end. Huntingtondon pulled it out against Loretto, but that had more to do with Loretto changing their offensive approach in the 2nd qtr when they started waiting for the double teams on the perimeter to come before trying to run the offense. Loretto got sloppy with 7 turnovers and only 2 points in the qtr.

Been a great game.....going to be hard to see either lose

Huntingdon was the better team. Much quicker and that was the difference. Huntingdon's zone completely shut down the outside shooting of Stown. Huntingdon had trouble guarding the larger post players. Too many missed 3s and not enough going inside. Both teams we be in Murfreesboro

It's all about speed. It's very hard to beat a team that's much faster than you are! Summertown is better coached but they are slow! Fuller #24 is faster than Alvin Kamara. Huntingdon is not the best team in the state but they are I think the most talented. They didn't play well tonight but were talented enough to pull it out.

Get out of West Tn and come over to the UpperCumberland. This is where all the gold balls are and where the best teams in Class A reside.

Lawrenceburg is to far for me. We are not a real polished team but we look forward to playing you folks at state if we can beat Houston Co. We've had a run of talent the last few years that you get about every 50 years. We have some talented kids. Lots of times they don't have a clue what they are doing but they can really run.

If you wonder why Huntingdon only goes 6 or 7 deep thats why. The talent pool is about to run dry in about 2 more years

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
