Class AA State Tournament Thread

Don’t count out MC just yet. Young team that has a lot of speed and can break the press very well. If Carter and Gregory  both score 15+, MC is very hard to beat. Along with other great scores. Don’t be surprised to see MC win

I'm not sure cheatham gets by Macon. Macon has 6 loses but 4 are to upperman. They are very good. Cheatham girls are good but they don't have any height. The best team they played beat them in summertown.

Upperman vs east should be a good quarterfinal.

If Cheatham doesn't have much height, the combination Bullington and King controlling the boards for Macon will make it tough for Cheatham since they won't get many second shots.

Cheatham County doesn't have much height. But I've seen them play several times this years and they are crazy good at rebounding and swarming the ball.  I was at their game last night versus Marhsall County.  While the ultimate outcome of the game was never seriuosuly in doubt (in my opinion),  it was closer than the final score would lead one to believe. The Tigers kept within single digits for most of the game. Frankly, the Cubs helped them by uncharacteristcally missing a lot of lay ups. At this level of play one off night is all that it takes to lose. I can easily see Macon County winning. They appear to be a solid team based on their record. As another poster pointed out, while they have six losses four of those are against Upperman.

I’ll take that bet for as much as you want to lay down brother.  Upperman is 10 miles from my home they are the best team in AA by a wide margin. Macon County wins the silver yet again

Only games Westview has lost have been out of state. They are probably better than any thing they have had up there in the last three or four years.

Westview’s defense is probably one of the best in the state. Their opponents are only averaging 31 points per game this year. Not saying Upperman isn’t good but I am saying that Upperman wouldn’t have a 12-14 point advantage over them if they ended up meeting

Upperman plays nobody can come close. If they do not show up and get in foul trouble they could be out early. Tough team and players are very skilled.  Should be good AA tournament
