So, you have come to the conclusion that we both suck. Hmm. You are correct if you are talking about the weather. Tornadoes do suck. They blow too. Tornadoes suck and blow. However, if you are talking about the Union City Golden Tornadoes lm going to have to step in and say that you sir are wrong indeed. I know you are only joking, as am I, but I have a really good feeling about the rest of this season. I think e are going to put together a run. Now I haven't heard anyone from TCA say anything other than that they expect a fight come Friday night. We are going to do that for certain. I think these boys are tired of losing. They know what is at stake in this game. The Lions are in the same frame of thought. So I guess both of these "sucky" teams will try not to be the suckiest.

Battle for sucksless instead of success!??mwahahahaa,I have said it all along UC makes the playoffs, hide and watch!!

You are on your game tonight. I like the Battle for Suckless. That's funny. You know though, it always feels good when your team is winning and you are the favorite to win out but remember that what goes up must come down. It can happen fast

This will only be the 5th meeting ever between TCA and UC.  TCA leads the series 3-1.  With the exception of the first meeting (a 42-0 TCA playoff win in 2007) the series has featured spirited games between the two combatants. This will only be the second ever meeting between these two teams in Union City.  TCA won the previous game in Tornado Alley back in 2010 by a 21-15 count. That season, UC was the defending 1A state champions and TCA went on to be the 2A state runner up.

Statistically, these two teams match up well.  UC has 1508 total yards of offense(1473 on ground) while TCA has 1491 yards of offense (779 passing, 712 rushing). I will give the special teams edge to TCA.  Lopes has a cannon for a kick off leg, range for fg, and is almost automatic on extra points.

No question that UC will want to grind it out and eat clock.  I believe they will get yards.TCA has to limit the big play, force  a few turnovers, and get a few 3 and outs to be in the game.  The offense of TCA could press UC as they are much more balanced in their offense.  I feel the TCA passing attack will stretch UC like they have not been stretched all season.

This game will feature two of the premier athletes in Region 7.  Kaleb Craig of UC is already closing in on 900 yards rushing and TCA's Kevin Davis is a dual threat who can score every time he touches the ball.

Not going to make a score prediction.  I simply pray for a spirited contest and no injuries.  I look forward to calling the PBP for TCA in this game on the radio.

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
