I appreciate your honesty in assessing your team. A lot of luck has gone into Whitwell making it this far. You remind me of us last year. Skill will overcome luck this Saturday.

Wait a minute.. 1 in the first game wasn’t a strip when the QB dropped the ball and the 1 by Raulston in the second game sure wasn’t a strip. That’s the one where he hit the ground and the ball came out.  So that’s at least two for sure.

Dang...  drank the haterade much?  Can’t even pull for the county team, sad.  Not that you’re giving up any secrets as I’m certain they’ watched films day and night, but still.  That’s ok, to each his own.  However,  these kids have more than earned the respect due them, regardless of whatever hard feelings you’re harboring for any adult.  It will take a team of miles to keep Ashworth out of the whole game, is.

For the record, I would NOT cheer for Forrest High School if they were to make it to the state game. I would be 50/50 on Marshall County.

I cheer on anyone from around Maury, Marshall, Lewis or Williamson when they make it this far. Especially teams that have been rivals of CA or played them for years

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
