This game is what high school football should be.. 2 communities proud of their kids and their school. Should be a nice night and great crowd.  The outcome will be decided by which line plays the best

Muskox man I garuntee no worries.  The greenback skillet slinger will have the durn personnel problems figured out by when that Ryan man plays this Fitzgerald man.  You think im joking but im not.

We wont sleep on Greenback. The boys will have to up their intensity this week and play with some excitement. We have a long streak of winning at home and our last loss at home was Sept. 4th 2015 against Marion County. That has nothing to do with this game except for the fact that we play normally much much better at home. One thing our coaches have done over the years since Fitzgerald came is prepare well for big games. This week will be no different. Time to shine gentlemen.

Man oh man me thinks this is the hardest game to pick this week or heck maybe the season !!! This game has athletes all over the field and Meigs played imo a bit below what they are capable of but when it mattered bowed up !! GB never was in a game and thats hard to even type , so with all these athletes its really simple to me, coaching and preparation, sorry to say its this simple but I think it really is !!!

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
