See here’s the problem with the scenario you mentioned. After last year’s GC vs Peabody’s game both teams were 6-1 at that point and being in the same region they had very similar schedules. Being that Gibson Co just beat Peabody on their home field one could easily conclude that Gibson Co. was better. You asked if anyone really thought they should be rated above “at the time”. And according to facts lots of people could have made that argument. We see it didn’t turn out that way but again you said “at the time”.

You didn't rate them above Poohbooty.

And I said Gibson County over Peabody was just ONE example. I didn't say that was my only defense.  Don't make me reach in my bag and pull out more examples.  :)

Don’t make me reach in my bag and shoot more of your examples down. :)

But you are correct I didn’t rate them over Poohbooty.

If I had something that was possibly broken for some reason I wouldn't put my contact info out there for the masses either to ask questions. I mean why would I want to explain why something I made makes sense right?

I'm fairly certain he explains on his website why team A is rated above team B when team B has defeated team A.    Go read it.  If you don't agree or don't understand then that's fine.

I've read it. Only possible reason could be is Trousdale beat good teams by a better expected ratio over a given course of whatever number of games compared to Watertown. But by his own rating the next week same formula didnt work for the aforementioned game. And that's what I'm curious about. I don't care 6 games later why, I'm curious why the next week they didnt jump them.

Well,  honestly I wish I had the formula so I could dissect it.  Like a lot of yall i really enjoy the numbers.   I can't explain  it all but i can't knock it because i haven't anything better.

We had a guy on here went by LaxIndex.  Was really good at his rankings.  Superb.
