Been looking forward to this one for a while. Can’t believe the regular season is coming to an end. Hoping for a clear, dry night. Who ya got coming out with the W?

A couple weeks ago Kingsport was looking forward to this game to. Thought they were going to roll in at 9-0. But unfortunately they went down like a lead balloon last night. Morristown West (of all teams) exposed DB's big weakness last week, so that's that. I do think DB can score on Alcoa but there'll be a running clock early in the forth.

Everyone has those types of games. We have an ugly 3 point performance on our resume. I look for the game to be competitive. Our coaching staff has been known to be a little stubborn when it comes to exploiting weaknesses. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Tornado game plan is to run between tackles all night with no pass attempts. You pretty much know what you are gonna get with the defense. Not gonna give up much more than 14 points. However, the offense is another thing. I guess it just depends on the staffs mentality of the importance of actually playing wide open vs. playing conservative. We shall see.....

I remember how mad the Alcoa fans were a couple years ago in Kingsport when their offense was a little bit predictable .

DB knows the importance of this game. After a tough loss last week they will be coming in fired up wanting to take it to one of the State's best teams to prove DB is not a rollover. This game could be close for a half but I feel like the talent gap is just too much and Alcoa pulls away to a comfortable lead in the 2nd half. Not a blowout though

Alcoa rolls. I’m hearing some of our fans are heading over after the senior festivities. As of this morning the weather is supposed to be clear and cool.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
