I think SP and Greenback are in an interesting dilemma. How much do you play starters? You want them healthy obviously but at the same time you want them to stay in game shape. Pirates starters haven't played more than a half since Meigs. I would say they may get 3 quarters tomorrow.

Well since JB doesnt have many posters.This is a good question.I was talking to a friend of mine from Hampton on this same issue last week.When playoff time comes around i have to agree with something Old Pirate said earlier in the season,the boys HAVE to be in 4 quarter game shape and you just cant get it in practice especially with the 45 min 3 day rule on full pad contact.Nothing simulates a game other than a game.No one wants to kill the helpless teams that make the playoffs but in turn THEY ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!Teams have to work on getting better for each stage of the post season,i know its a touchy situation for some but at least three quarters of hard play ---Unless your up by 42 on accident.Your point about injuries is also something we have to consider.

I am with you Geno. I'd rather have 2-3 pages of football talk instead of all this other crap.  I just hate to go through several pages of everything but football.  I saw where a poster said is this GB-SP thread or JB thread.  We do play JB this week but you'd never know it by all the crap. If I was a moderator I would have shut it down.  Maybe all who want to talk about thing's except the team at hand your playing, they can create a new thread and call it the  crap thread.  Geno, you and me are old school and thanks for saying what you did. Go Pirates, beat JB!!!

I agree with what some are saying but at the same time it’s a message board. I wouldn’t get to torn up over what’s said. Pirates win this one over Jo Byrns by 50.  Go Pirates!

I agree 100% but 2 of your guys have hijacked every Greenback thread this year and most other threads on the 1A boards. They have attacked a very fine man and his family all year calling them liers and cheaters. I will stand up for them any and every day. And no one even knows who they are.

Most of us SP people are good stand up people as well as I know most of GB's are the same.  I think sometimes like Geno was saying it gets out of hand.  Most people on this website know who I am and I don't stand behind a mask, so I am very careful of what I say.  I never want to offend anyone and if I ever have I want to apologize,  It's ok to rib another team about how bad we will beat them or whatever, but when it come's to family and friend's I draw a line.  Hope if both our teams do get to play I hope we can all have a good hearted exchange about the game.

I really dont even read OP and Roys posts. Its childish and annoying?! They pretty much cant come out from behind their Mask after so they have said to people. I dont get it. Why not be who you are and enjoy talking smack and enjoy your Team and let other see you enjoying " Football " ..   For most this is a way to still be active per say when yiure a has been or never was.  Ive been blessed enough at 53 years Old to still Compete on a Nation and World level in Sports and dont have to be here Putting down Teams because I cant compete anymore.. Like Mr Sportsman said its all fun to talk a little Smack but to talk Stupid while doing so just looks Well.. STUPID..
