I think you posted about level playing fields??Funny Old P talks of smoke and mirrors looks like the Pirates have been fooled by the "smoke and mirrors" for a few years and thought they had something special.Well most years they do on TALENT alone in that area they are in.....BUT CA,Whitwell and GB has shown that with a level playing field the coaching shows up wanting!

Take a break from your meds. Don’t talk about areas of competition. GB plays mostly powder puff competition round that fake honey hole. Same fer SP, that’s why SP plays so many bigger classification schools.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but to say Vic Grider would get outcoached very often really reveals a lot about what you know.   He prepares his team better than 95% of the high school Coaches.   As to who has the better talent year in and year out.   I'll leave you guys to debate that.

I will add this.....  How many Coaches are you aware of that could lose a two year starter at QB heading into a semi-final game and still almost pull out the victory?

Yes, #11’s mom was the waitress that day. Coach Grider thought it was funny how a player’s mom, and half of their coaching staff really thought he was that dumb. The statement about “Vic’s teeth almost fell out of his mouth when I saw him and “we caught him red handed”  is funny as well. Again, please make sure this complaint and photo of them eating are turned in to the TSSAA in high definition quality. Once that’s down just get your popcorn ready.

What would the photo being time stamped prove?  Once the coach realized this could present an issue, this whole paperwork, time stamp stuff wouldn't been an issue.  The school would  just fixed the paperwork to match what ever timeline they needed.  So just having a photo of the coach meeting with a family I don't see as being an issue at all.  Now the bigger question to me would be these boys "moved" to South Pitt school zone from what has been said.  It would certainly be interesting to see the address of where they reportedly reside and pull property records on the address and see if maybe they are renting from someone that is on staff at the school or has ties to the football program, now that might shed a little more light on this move. I don't suppose thats illegal but would sure be interesting to say the least.  Just my opinion!  I would also suspect the new coach at Hixson is probably doing everything in his power to get them two boys back in the fold, so If the states involved at this point, I am sure they will be checking every possible angle to see if anyone has dirty hands.

So at this point if the twins ended up not staying and playing for the Pirates would it be because they just had a change of heart and wanted to go home or would it be because the Pirates felt that there would be to big of a hurdle to prove everything is above board and didnt want to run the risk of getting in trouble?

Thoughts??

And your coach can't coach 4th and short.LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!!He admitted it in that paper.Talked all year about rotating 27 kids on a 60 man roster and went to Greenback and got OUTCOACHED AGAIN by a man with a team who only had 3 kids that rotated with the starting 11!!!!!If you get 20 great players to transfer will it be enough to make up for the coaching delinquencies????:roflol:

What kind of crap is this? I went to every game but one. I still don’t know where the 27 came from unless they counted the kids playing on extra point and kickoff teams. I for one thought the talent level between the two teams in 2019 was closer than it had been the other years. Greenback has had the most talent in the east the last 4-5 seasons. Greenback did have much bigger linemen than SP last season. I’m going to say one other thing about last season. Greenback had 2 kids that signed D1 off last year’s team. I can’t tell you when the last time SP had a kid sign D. The team with the most big time talent won that game last season. Now..we had our chances but I still think the most talented team won.

Sounds like you might wanna investigate all those that transferred to The Tribe of Many Nations (Greenback).    Look and see how many outhouses have been rented out along with a couple walk-in closets that were newly built.

Rumor is they get these sweet deals from a ranking Coca Cola/ part time coach employee.   :popcorneater:

That's a very good assessment.  The QB change also moved our best receiver to QB for that game.  The good news is the QB will be back for his senior year.

I agree not very often, just when it counted the past 5 years in the playoffs.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
