They lost about 18 Kids so they will be rebuilding no matter who the coach is. SG had a duo in brothers at qb and wr. I believe it was. If they can come up with a good line they could be pretty good. Losing 18 though is alot if they had significant playing time. I believe those 2 brothers will be there next year.
MarionMadness
We will be tough this season. The addition of Coach Pruitt is already paying big dividends for our program. The most exciting part about Coach Pruitt besides his awesome mentorship qualities is we will be able to run a lot of the same plays that the University of Tennessee runs. Coach Pruitt's son is the head coach for the Vols so their staff will be able to help the Marion staff put together game plans this season. This is such an exciting time for the big MC! The boys worked hard in the weight room this week. This team will be a top 10 team in 2020. Things are on the rise again for this team. I know in my heart that Coach Pruitt is going to lead us to big things. The sky is the limit for us going forward. I believe our team will also get to be on the sidelines for at least one Tennessee game this season. Getting to be at college games and practices will also be another thing that will help our kids achieve greatness. Go Warriors! FEAR THE TEAM, FEAR THE SPEED, & FEAR THE LEGEND... AIGHT! Ram4Life
Tyner will be down. The region remains really weak and if CDP can really get CJP to help with Marion's game plans as Marion Madness suggests they could take the region back - MM - delusional. Seriously - this region is not good - Bledsoe has a good coach and is building IMO but I'm not sure there is a top 10 team here. Maybe 2A is so bad that Tyner/Bledsoe are between 8-10?? Doubt anyone in this region makes it past round 2 and might get swept round 1.

That’s a good hire, but do you honestly think the University of Tennessee football Staff is really going to worry about game planning for Marion? That’s highly doubtful considering they have to practice, game plan, and recruit everyday during the season.

All of their quality lineman. Hampton should cakewalk through that district unless SN or HV can improve drastically. I've not seen anything from those region 1 teams that would lead me to believe that region 2 won't have someone in the semifinals. If Rockwood can find a QB it is liable to get real interesting. Oneida graduates a bunch. Meigs has a lot of good pieces. Just have to see how they fit together.

Unfortunate for them. He was one of the better qbs I saw this past season.

I feel we are loaded in the skill positions again this year.

No we lose our QB. Until we get another head coach we will not challenge for the region.
FridayMainEvent
If any of you guys are "Jones" for some football discussion and missed our recap of the "Blue Cross Bowl" from last year including Coaches interviews, you can always go back and watch it:

Loaded might be a bit of a stretch, but we should be good enough to be very competitive after losing 20+ seniors and the unofficial leader in passing, rushing, and possibly scoring in our school history. Our defense will have to find a secondary. A lot of young, untested players on the roster that will have to step up.
