Believe it or not Summertown is an inside out team / when pull #2 out to # 1 to play point brings everyone out 3-4 steps plus rotation suffers - ended up w freshman playing point lot of game ( plays good for freshman but that’s what she is ) - got another  AAA ( Ravenwood ) this afternoon - listened to Coffee Co coach after game he was highly complimentary that single A played them so close

I thought that is who it was. She is a senior this year I would bet. I remember her lighting it up as an 8th grader in Murfreesboro. If I am correct one that hurt her hand real bad and missed a lot of the 2nd half against Huntingdon last year in Region right??

That’s her had to rely on freshman after hurt her hand / more of a distributor now close to 1000 points but may not make it like big sister

I sure wish Gibson County and Union City could play in the near future. We could get a glimpse of what the regional tournament is going to look like.

Very possible these two wouldn’t meet if both teams won Region games until championship as I predict both to win their district. They were scheduled to meet first game of the season. Would be a battle for sure. Both teams are really solid teams.

Clark Range is the team to beat this year.

I think two of Union City, Greenfield and Gibson County will represent the west in Murfreesboro. Still give Greenfield a decent shot because it might take a whole bench to guard Edie. Clarkrange and Summertown are definitely the favorites in Single A.

I think you can narrow down possible state tournament teams pretty significantly at this point.  Obviously injuries or quarantines could alter this a bit, but assuming healthy teams it likely breaks down as follows:

West: Two of Union City, Greenfield, or Gibson County

Middle/West: Two of McKenzie, Loretto, or Summertown

Middle/East: Clarkrange, Pickett

Far East: Two of North Greene, Cloudland, or Cosby

Probably need to throw Tellico in there in the east. They just need to play better competition in the regular season to get ready for tournament time.

Do think Huntingdon will get better and might give McKenzie a run later in year. They have talent and are well coached. Gleason is a team that could make noise as well and could give Greenfield or Union City a run as well as a mostly senior Peabody squad that could make noise. I agree with your post but these are just teams that could be dark horses.

Fillies are on the struggle bus right now.  They lost by 14 to an average Camden team last night.
