We thought we might play 2nd half won by 16 but I tell you w Jennings they can compete  & yep on substrate

Too much depth for Summertown I thought . Jesse had 17 in the first half and was able to play her game. Stown press made her move to point in the second half to get it up the court. Should be some good matchups for substate if things stay the same between Loretto, Summertown, Houston County and Richland

I watched UC Tuesday Night. I agree with you. Number 11 can get after you no doubt and they play good team defense. Problem with Tuesday Night’s contest is Jada Williams had 2 fouls early in the game and she is the body that would have to attempt to guard Hart. Williams is known to get in foul trouble. If she stays out of foul trouble she might can slow her down a little. Williams and Bonds are great players. GC will either play Greenfield or UC, IMO. Vegas odds would probably be Greenfield. Gleason is scrappy and well coached, but may be a player short to beat y’all in a big game.

Foul trouble has followed her in most games. She has been able to play well with foul trouble. UC won the District and will be ready. UC should have won every game in the district, but they are still getting better with each game. This should be an interesting tourney. GC would rather play Greenfield than UC. UC will poise the most difficulty for GC in the region, GC will have to play and beat at least 2 of these 3 teams to win the region.

Y’all already flipped the coin?? Or did it go by point differential?? Whoever wins Region semis are in Murfreesboro. Region Finals are for pride and a trophy. Don’t mean anything this year unless Memphis has started back playing. Any team is a hurdle come tournament time.

I had a conversation about Peabody yesterday with some area coaches. And we all said the same things (play hard, tough as nails, very well coached) BUT when it comes down to it, when you clamp down the lefty #00, who else is gonna step up and give consistent offense??? And are they gonna rebound well enough. Things to look for going forward. I think GC wins by 17 tonight.

Good point and who is going to guard Madison??? That has been the question for two years and we hadn’t seen no one handle her. She is the money maker for GC. Will keep them in every game to the wire.

Gibson County grinder it out tonight. Played good defense and did what hey had to do. Had a comfortable double digit lead while second half. Need to shoot FT’s better. But overall a quality 13 point win.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
