Headlines like this continue there will be no school. no school no sports

And it’s meaningless headlines like this that stoke the fire and strike fear and panic in people for no reason. Testing was at an all-time high and negative tests were at an all-time high too! No mention of it. Also, the death rate is continuing to drop. It’s younger people who show little to no symptoms who are testing positive in big numbers, which is not bad news whatsoever. The nonsense fear headlines and misinformation has to stop!

I agree. Admin at TSSAA and school systems make decisions off these headlines not your statistics and data

Well said! Same with college football conferences, who are prematurely making ridiculous irrational and illogical decisions based on emotion and panic in the second week of July!!

This is incredible stuff! The stats matter! The facts matter!

There is no doubt that the media is pumping this thing up. As I have said previously, I consider myself to be somewhat of a centrist on all this. I think both sides that have polarized say some stuff that is totally false.

In saying that, you should research this guy before you throw one of his articles on here. He is a anti vaccination nut that writes some of the most egregious junk that no sane person would agree with.

I would never agree with anyone 100% of the time regardless. In this particular case, he uses facts and stats that matter, which is supremely important in these times. It’s a well done article that uses common sense and logic. I don’t consider myself polarizing in the least...just been paying attention closely to the stats and facts all along.

We dont live in Florida. Are we developing a covid 19 magic wand to make it go away? Whats the end game from hiding from it? Better to face it now and get it over with.

Matt is the only one in that building who has a lick of good sense. It's a realm shame he is not the Executive Director,  IMO.

Yeah I had to deal with him to enter a record for my girl. He done it real quick. Problem is he is not the executive director.

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
