Impressive win for murvil against what was supposed to be an improved LA team. It looked like a mismatch at several skill positions and in the booth. #s 2, 5, 6, and 24 showed that opposing defenses had better account for them. Murvil D seemed a little undersized but the best D is a good O. 49 is a good O.

Maryville looks very talented and unstoppable. With the possible exception of Alcoa, it will be a miracle if anyone on their schedule holds them under 35 points in a game all year. I thought WB competed very well- they were just totally overmatched athletically.

Was expecting more from the impeached senators. Can't lie. Not a win, but more than that.

Rebels passing game was a very pleasant surprise. Thought it would be there eventually, but other than a couple of first game issues that should be easily fixable it was quite impressive.

Defense is fast and swarms. I like it.

Carson Jones looked like a seasoned veteran. Parker McGill was awesome. Oline blocked great. Nick Dagel looked good. Defense played well even though they were missing 2 starters including their best defender Lou Burchfield.

 

What has me the most excited is Maryville is mostly an underclassmen team. Lots of sophomores playing. Junior and Sophomore classes are loaded.
