Cascade wants to come west as well. I dont blame you their. I may had rather make that drive as well! haha Both schools make more sense geographically in Reg 5 for Reg 5's sake but they are both the farthest teams East i think and would be the first ones to slide over if they are trying to even East vs West. Assuming the 49 schools listed are locks and no changes, and Forrest and Cascade go West, then the West will have 28 teams vs 21 in the East. I would’ve thought it might better drives for them teams. Definitely not a better drive for East Hickman Houston Hickman Waverly

It ain't about how many kids the school has Pride... it's about how much pride the community has for the school, and how the school is connected to the community. In these small towns (and a few big ones) the school, and the kids are the main focus of the entire area. you can go into the hardware store in March and hear conversations about football, or into the grocery in September and get drawn into a baseball team debate.

I guess where I am from in Georgia it's was different, all schools had alot of support, our inner city schools there had stadiums with seating for 7500 and filled it ! We was a big school and I know our gate one night alone hit 8000 attendance, but you hit the nail on the head on your post, round hear you go into Cotton's diner and they are talking Peabody 365 days a year ! I would think it was that way everywhere but it sure isn't,I never understood why Jackson schools have no community support,SouthSide has improved but still not great! I taught in Jackson for a decade. On parent/teacher conference night I was lucky to see a half dozen parents. Sometimes saw none. They don’t support their own kids. Much less the teams.
