Numbers don't lie.  We spotted those guys a td in the first half.  I will say this.  Swafford was the real deal.  A man amongst boys.  I think Meigs will be more balanced this year.  Not a one man show. That makes them harder to defend.  I still think McKenzie will be the best team we have played this year.

Okay my answer was not just a simple case of football math and I am not saying PB does not win, I just believe it will be a good game. I thought McKenzie was gonna make a game out of it and they did. Most everybody was saying they would lose by 3 or more scores.....

There were a few miscues that could have gone our way that would have given us 3 more TDs.  But McKenzie is the real deal.  We knew that going in.  It was wishful thinking on our part to think that we would blow them out.  McKenzie had a lineman #43 who was physical, fast, strong who did not play against us in the first meeting.  If you got a D lineman like him, Meigs might have a chance, but if not, our nose will and backers and ends will eat you alive.  76 yards on the ground from Meigs last year.  I know this is a different year but most of our Defense from that game is still in there.  Meigs better bring it.

It’s going to be cold and snowy in Cookeville Saturday. I’m kinda worried about the health of some of the fans. I hope the Peebody fans won’t do what my buddy did once when it was really cold out. Some guys bet him he wouldn’t put his tongue on the flagpole at our school- well he did and it was not pretty. Well this is a public service announcement for Peebody because there’s a lot of metal handrails and such. Don’t put your tongue on the metal. Thank you.

Agreed!

I beg to differ Goldenpride.  I respect your views but I would not give them that much credit until they prove it.  McKenzie was the real deal.  Great coaching, QB was awesome, backs were fast, receivers were good and D-line was good.  They played us twice and that makes for a evenly matched game.  I thought the Rebels outplayed us for much of the game but when it counted, the champs did what champions do.  They finally played up to the level of their ability. They played with a since of urgency.  They did not want to be the class that did not make it to the finals.  The reason last years bunch was so good is because that played against the 3rd best team in the state every day ( OUR SECOND TEAM).

We did have some mistakes and as you have said, Meigs took advantage of them.  We were better in the Trenches and if Meigs has a chance, they will have to beat us in the trenches.  If we put together a complete game as we did against Waverly, it will be a long day for Meigs.  Do not measure our success against Waverly or our close game with McKenzie.  Two different teams but both were very talented.  I do expect a dog fight early.  Peabody 28-14 or 35-14
