It’s harder than you think. 5 home games 5 away games. You don’t want to schedule people to might play in playoffs and it’s not like 2a/1a team wants to play all 4a to 6a teams out of region and then you want to schedule rivalry games also

I can guarantee y'all won't see any teams from Kentucky or Mississippi in the playoffs

Wait what was y’all running under Grider the Huntingdung Delight ? I am confused!!

We ran more of a spread offense with a couple traps and counters and a pulling guard

Milan and Huntingdung have been huge rivals for years. There are hardware in each other’s trophy case that the other teams genuinely feel like should be theirs. It is a hated and bitter rivalry. Many years ago, when I first came on the T, I started  referring to the Huntingdon Mustangs as the Huntingdung Mustanks. I have done it so much that my last 3 phones would auto correct to it. Lol. As you can see it’s a term of endearment and others on coachT have been using it as well throughout the years. Kinda like when I call Roy Dillard, Roy Diltard. My phone auto corrects to that as well by the way.

We have to get there first. We have a long road ahead of us. Honestly I didn’t see you guys being  predictable as meigs. It just looked like they dominated the line of scrimmage with line play

Peabody had Union City, McKenzie, Waverly and Meigs last year. This year I predict if no football in Memphis West Carrol, Lake County, either McKenzie, Fayetteville or Moore County and South Pittsburgh. I predict it may be tougher this year and could have been real tough if McKenzie didn’t swap districts. Could have had the road of Lake County, McKenzie, Fayetteville and South Pittsburg if McKenzie hadn’t swapped. I think I have this right as far as who is in district with who. Lake County I hear is supposed to be pretty good. Hear they got a real good RB.

When we (Fayetteville City) went to Lake Co in the semifinals, they had several really good players that are coming back. I think they will be a top 5 team, but I don’t think they can beat Peabody. I think Fayetteville will be strong again. Moore Co lost a lot. It will be interesting to see if they can recreate last year’s success with the coaches son being their best player. I assume McKenzie might be the second best team in 1A but definitely top five. South Pitt is still South Pitt. Until someone beats Peabody, they are #1, then the next 4 (in no particular order) are South Pitt, McKenzie, Fayetteville City and Lake Co. Moore Co and Eagleville could surprise some people. Hope to see Peabody live for the first time against Milan.

So Fayetteville has actually not lost a game on the field in two years right?? I agree with Peabody number 1. Last year of the four playoff teams they played they go 10-0 against 2 of the four in Union City and Waverly if they played 10 times, IMO. This year I would only put 1 in that category and that being West Carrol. And if McKenzie hadn’t of switched it would have been zero, IMO. Peabody is really good but when it gets cold and you get a team that moves the chains and gets a break or two anything can happen.

2 years ago, Fayetteville went 10-0 and then had to forfeit 6 wins. We lost 20+ seniors from that team. Last year we lost to Marion Co in our opening game and then to Gordonsville with 7 starters out. We were playing our best ball at the end. We lost several seniors that mattered but we got a lot coming back. I expect us to be in the mix but Peabody is the top dog until someone beats them. I think the West quarters and semis will be tough for whoever gets there. I assume the East will be a cakewalk again for South Pitt.

    • Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.
    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
