Exactly. TSSAA caters to the East. Play the games in Martin or at the civic center in Jackson and see how East Tn fans react.

I would love to use UT Martin or even University of Memphis or the Oman Arean in Jackson! TSAA definitely caters to Middle & East! Never once have thought about West Tn! It should alternate each year or every other year

Isn't Memphis  still shut down and the sheep fenced in? Bring it to the Upper Cumberland Cookevegas!

More Centrally located for who? Not West Tn so speak for yourself! MTSU is 2 hours from me in Jackson Tn, Tech is 3 hours & 10 minutes away! Maybe a better venue but how about East & Middle Tennessee come play in Memphis! Why do West Tn allows have to travel?

Because Memphis didn’t put anything down in regards to hosting a state tournament. Besides, where do you believe Memphis would host a state tournament in basketball?

We not talking about from you! We are talking Middle of the state of Tennessee!

You make no sense at all. If they have it in Cookeville it will take some team from the east around 3+ hours to get there, it’s about the same for teams coming from the west so how is that taking care of teams from the east? East TN teams have to travel just as far or farther than west teams every year.

Of course I make no sense lol only East team in AA is Fulton, nobody else matter lol you have teams like Upperman that basically is a home game! That why I said rotate each year middle, East, west!

Lol Fulton is terrible. But I do agree with you that middle TN have it made every year. But there’s really no other way to do it. If they rotate it would be some long drives. Just imagine if they had it in Johnson City next year. How long would that take you? And it takes me 2:45 to get to MTSU

It is a decided advantage to those teams that go all the time if at same gym  /not home court but more homey than those that don’t go but very rarely / GLASS HOUSE can be very intimidating / so my advice go more often /MTSU only logical place to have it / most of time players could care less

MTSU is not going to have it. They are too busy writing parking tickets to worry about basketball. At this point Gibson County Fans may drive to FLA as long as they can get in after last years cancellation if we make it. I personally think it will definitely be closer for the Clarkrange’s, Upperman’s and Pickett County’s of the world but it is what it is. I just hope they find a gym where fans can go. If it is Cookeville, more power to Cookeville. Just watched TN and Kansas while ago and there are probably as many fans in HS gyms as there are in colleges right now. Time to play ball and let the fans in.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
