vandyfan1
You would think at 42 years of age I wouldn’t be in shock with news especially this day in age but it still gets me to hear hear news like this. He was one cool dude and absolutely loved High School Football. Like General said we all bicker on here at each other but in reality it’s a in good fun. Prayers definitely sent to his family and friends from Waverly.

DutchMantel
The true measure of a man isn’t in terms of monetary means or worldly processions, but rather the impression he leaves on others. Like many of you on here, I didn’t know Mike personally, but watched his shows and met him at a ball game once and had a great conversation. He and Lee have done as much, if not more, than anyone to promote high school football across our great state in the past few years. The impression he left on so many of us speaks volumes for the man that Mike was. Thank you for all you’ve done Mike and rest easy brother. 2

MidTennFootball
This is a punch in the gut. The world is a little bit darker without him in it. MOTO24
Got a call this afternoon with the terrible news. I sure do hate to hear this. I had some good times with Mike back in the day when his son played for cascade and had a lot of battles with Jo Byrns. He didn’t care for me early on but we became good friends for a time. Time went on and we didn’t talk much anymore once regions realigned and he started doing the radio thing. I’ll remember the good times and he’ll always be one of my favorites from coacht! I’ll be sure to do my part to carry on his passion for high school football. We both loved 1A football the most! Thanks Mike!!!

I didn’t have the chance to meet him, but my heart goes out to his family, Lee & his coach T friends. I’d enjoyed listening to him and Lee. He did have a way about him that made you want to smile. Through coach T I have met some amazing passionate football fans and great loving people. I hated hear this about Mike and it’s sad. Jehovah Yahweh & his only begotten son Jesus are merciful & their love is unconditional & there’s forgiveness available to all who will accept. Heavenly Father please comfort and give strength to the family and friends during this difficult time in Jesus name we ask.
