Alcoa at West

After what I saw tonight, its a miracle these Rebels are still undefeated when they could easily be 2-3. 

I would love to say they are getting better, but in reality they arent. I know the injury bug has hit them hard but there is entirely too much talent and athleticism on that roster to not be straight plowing through this schedule...

This Thursday though will be a complete beatdown by Alcoa. The only way I see West winning is if Alcoa has to forfeit bc of Covid. Would love to be wrong but I got Alcoa by however many they want.

Unfortunately, you're probably right, WH4L. Alcoa and Maryville are just on a completely different level than everybody else in East TN.

Alcoa isn't near as good on defense as last year.  But! Their offense is great.  Quarterback is outstanding.  Good skill players and a college Sized Oline.  West will have to play really well to have a shot.

If West is #1 team in 5A - then the quality in 5A is down.  Not sandbagging like we are some poor pitiful team,  but we have lots of areas to improve on before I would consider this team anywhere near top tier quality.  Sevier County, Halls and Farragut were all one play away from wins against West.
