Huntingdon @ Westview

I made the trip to Martin to watch the game and some of the pregame posts are spot on. 1. Huntingdon plays hard and  very physical. 2. Their DBs couldn’t guard #12 and #17 in a phone booth. Neither stood out  just by looks but they were open all night. 3. Simpson can play. It seemed like the Mustangs conceded early though. Only down 12 with 8 minutes to go and still running the QB to the sideline to get the play, play clock in single digits every snap. Pretty sure they took several timeouts home with them also.

I hope it was worth the drive.

Turnovers and the costly penalties that put Huntingdon in a passing situation.

Your big boys were worn out. Y’all are definitely a good team. Mr. Simpson had an off night but y’all match his speed on the scrambles. I just think y’all was out manned when it comes down to it. You guys didn’t have that many more penalties than they did. I thought it was well played game from both sides. I definitely underestimated the Mustangs but I knew Westview was going to put up big points.

I didn’t say they had more penalties. I said costly penalties. Huntingdon had a 40 yd run called back. That puts them second and 20 fumble that possession on 25 yd line. Come out at half have a penalty get in passing situations throw a pick six. Mr Simpson may of had off night because of Huntingdons defense. Martin won but I thought they were the total package ran the ball just as well as they threw it. Their big boys were worn out to  after ever play they where struggling to get up. Hopefully they meet again for a rematch.

Shut up and stop making excuses.  You lost plain and simple. Stop blaming it on penalties and turnovers.  Take your L like a man.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
