The New Word of the Day at William Blount is Bishop Shad told the administration he needs someone to shut that Bishop at the concession stand wanting his season to hurry up and end.

No doubt DB will be in the drivers seat but how much they win by will depend on how long Shad took a vacation last week.

Who ever Shadroach is I'm sure he is like most WB fans, tired of it. Most people don't say anything and just quit coming and let that be their voice. Then you have that few that will stand up and question it and want to know why. Some may want to keep an alias to possibly protect others. Me personally I was a Meadows fan because he is one of only two coaches in the 43 year history of WB that has brought any respectability to that program and the rest just hopped on board to get a check. That's why the program has less than a .300 winning percentage over 43 years. Right now Shad is batting .125 for the season and got his hands on the middle school program which was the only bright thing the school had and went 1-6 with a head coach of it splitting time there and the high school as a defensive coach.

Or in Shad's case, because nobody else would hire him

Barney,

Agree that Scott was one of our better coaches.  But I don't think you can blame WB for losing him, from what I gather, Catholic made him an offer he couldn't turn down.  I also agree that the easiest thing to do is just to quit coming or supporting (sort of similar to church sometimes) instead of speaking up.  But for me, if you're not willing to identify who you are, you lose credibility.  Obviously, Shadroach is either a WB insider--or knows someone who is--cause he/she knows stuff that everyone is not privy to.

Well I thought that also but that's not the case.I was sure it was him,been on here a long time and it's usually easy to follow someone and figure them put by their intentions.The young man whom you are referring to was an outstanding player for us tho!

After the game, some guy slam dunked his garbage in the trash can with authority.  His little kid asked him:

"Wow!  What's wrong dad?"

"WE LOST AGAIN SON!"

The student section chanting "Let's Go Brandon!" was very amusing however.  Lol

      Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.

      It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
