Man oh Man ! Considering a lot of us know each other personally on here, I know I can speak for some and truly question why this is even a option, someone said he just sat a couple games and was always coming back ! That’s a absolute lie ! I will support our young men that fought to get here but this is a major    Disappointment  !!!!!

Pride, if this is true the kid is being shown there are no repercussions for his actions. I almost always pull for west Tn teams when it comes to titles. I can’t for the life of me pull for a coach that has no backbone. What is he teaching the other kids?

Word around Gibson Co is that the coach has no backbone regardless and is a doormats for the Hunt’s. Either way the coach better hope he can get a job at whatever prep school hunt goes to because his days at Peabody are more than likely done

Was on the sideline with the team cheering during sectionals

Peabody has always had a seperate set of rules for sports "stars"...suspended players suddenly become un-suspended the day of a big game...and this includes football, basketball and baseball...Haney and Jacobs need to grow a spine...put academics above athletics...

Wish we knew the facts about what happen. Did his daddy pull him off team or did he quit team on his own. I was at Memphis  at substate game ,He was supporting the team and the boys on the team was giving him high fives .I agree with most post on here .They played the best team ball in Memphis that i seen all year .I hope the boys had to agree to take him back and not a coaches decision.

Hunt is on the roster for today’s game! What’s y’all’s thoughts

Sounds like Peabody wants to win at all costs. Shows what Peabody administration and coaches stands for. NEVER EVER thought I’d say this…. Go Rebels.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
