McKenzie at Huntingdon

The old clique, “Throw the records out the window.” As always, week one in this game could come down to who gets the rust knocked off first. Who can disrupt who first?  Yes, Rebels are the favorites.  McKenzie returns 12 seniors off of last years team, and have added two more.  So 12 are playing the last game of this long standing battle.  Two, will get their first and only taste of it.  Huntingdon has to replace a really good line from last year.  The injury to Flowers is huge.  But I know the backfield for Huntingdon is solid.  Will McKenzie get caught up in the magic show in the field?  Will McKenzie back side and LB’s play their responsibilities?  Will old Swenson finally decide to throw the ball more with the sophomore Eubanks.  Its going to be a good one.  No surprise here, but I will take my Rebels.  I mean, I have to, right?  Good luck to everyone.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
