I'm not mad any of my schools players didn't get nominated because none were deserving. If you think that's my beef then you clearly haven't been paying attention.

Your beef is with So Pitt getting a kids nominated a lot. I’m informing you that the reason is because they are typically playing in the Semis every year or for the Championship. Those programs are going to get the nod over programs that aren’t in the Top 5 yearly. That’s just the facts. College is the same way. I’m just keeping it real

Nobody said you didn't. But if you really think you have one of the five best in 1A every year let alone this year you don't know what you're talking about.

No disrespect Sir, it’s obvious you have not seen #15 for SP play in a game this year based on your ridiculous comment!  If you had seen him play then you would know that the Pirate kid is special. He doesn’t just have a big time arm which he certainly does and can make all the throws but he is built like a linebacker/ Fullback and will run over you also. Matter of a fact from my understanding he’s always been a fullback/linebacker. The most impressive fact about the young man is that this is his first year ever playing QB so he’s just getting started, no question he has the ability to play college ball. At what level nobody knows but he’s s gonna have options unless he chooses baseball as his primary college choice. This may help you better understand what kinda player he is. I have heard from many SP faithful that go back for years and years and many is of the opinion that right now that he’s probably the second best and potentially the best QB to ever put on a Pirate uniform by the time his career winds up, so put that in perspective cause we all know the Pirates have produced some studs through the years in that storied program. So yea anyone that has witnessed him play this year knows this young is special!

I'm not saying he's not. He's definitely a player and I'm sure a good kid. But if he had a different logo on his helmet he wouldn't be up for this award. As Tyrone says I'm just keeping it real.

Someone stated not long ago you have always had a beef with Peabody.

I'm beginning to think you have a problem with Power P schools.  :-)

40 playoff appearances, 13 championship appearances. Sp has one of the top 5 1a programs in the state.  You don't become that type of program without some of the best 1a athletes in the state.  So yes most years it's likely that SP has an athlete that is top 5 in 1a.  This season Sp QB has broken several school records  *note one of the previous record holders played professionally.

2300 yards and 35 touchdowns wouldn’t get him a possible nomination? I don’t pay attention to any of this jargon. Eddie Moore didn’t win Mr. Football in 1998 and was the best player in 1-2A. It happens…

Pretty sure this is voted on state wide not sure what a sponsor would have anything to do with a nomination, maybe I'm wrong? I understand state wide SP probably is more well known which could create a buzz about any player on that team that goes over 2k+ yards.

All players are deserving. Kamden is a very good ball player in multiple sports with extremely high character. I agree with what others say, typically, the better you are on a consistent basis, the more likely you are to get nominated for an award. If awards went by stats alone, and I am sure you could say this for every player, then instead of just playing a half of football teams would run up the score on inferior teams to produce stats.

Last thing, someone mentioned about SP getting hammered by CCS, a private school with very good players…I would like to see how any 1A team did against them before judgement is said on that game. Is this SP team weaker up front? Oh yea. But, we still have skill guys and they made us look very average that night.

Good luck to all young men

He also scored countless 2 point conversions. That pick 6 and the 2 point conversation were the major factors in that game.

Update! he scored 2 of the 5 converted Extra Pts. Was on the field as Wild Tiger QB on all but 1 of the 6 attempts scored twice and handed it off 3times

There are plenty of 8-2 teams out there. I know you think it's special cuz sp did it but you guys have a tendency to think something is better because they're in black and orange. We've been over this.

Why do y'all act like games can't be seen on nfhs? He's a good player but there's a half dozen better on this side of the state. You may not like to hear that but it's true

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
