Chatt prep returns everyone, Pickett and Humboldt return almost everyone, and ER returns Elijah, Isaiah, and Zach Groves.

Who do y’all have bringing home the hardware this year?

East loses Craig, Prince, Shaun Groves , and Eidson. Doubt they will have enough offense to make it back to state and definitely not enough to win it.

Chatt Prep cakewalks next year and will have the Mr.Basketball winner for next year as well. How are they not private?

Pickett Co. lost in OT to Chattanooga Prep at prep in the substate and has 5 starters back from last season. But 2 others started late in the season and they are graduating. There is a chance they may get a very good 6'4" player. He may either go to Pickett or York. They will be hard to beat if he comes to Pickett. Even without him, they will be very good again.

North Greene pretty much returns everyone including Mr Basketball finalist. Hampton moving up to 2A will make things much easier for teams on the east side.

They aren’t beating UH when it is 5 versus 1. Don’t have enough support to help Britton. Unless the exchange program can provide about 3 players.

Well they return everyone from last year minus one senior who didn't do anything and they picked up a really athletic kid that didn't play his freshman year. They are getting a really good foreign also. They went 2-1 against UH last year playing "5 versus 1" so I think they will be okay.

The last game was not played with the same defensive scheme as previous. Make everyone but Britton beat you. If the can will see and I will take the team that won when it mattered. UH was a different team at the end of the season.  All UH is back minus one as well. It will be UH or NG with Hampton moving up.

Pickett County now has Nathaniel Cobb who attended Allardt Elementary in Fentress County, but is from Pickett County. He chose Pickett County for high school. He is listed at 6'3" but when I spoke with him yesterday, he looked taller. He is an impact player and was a Tennessee Impact All Star player and should add a lot to a team already expected to go to the state. Being a freshman and new to a team that already has starters back, to be fair to those players, he might not start, but he certainly will get a lot of playing time.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
