We played both Mckenzie and South Side this summer. Both have younger players that need experience to make that run. South Side's Askins was out all summer with a broken wrist or hand. She is a Miss B

My preseason state tournament predictions.  Could be way off, but this is based on what I saw this summer and have heard this fall.

1A: Cloudland, ?? , Pickett County, Red Boiling Springs, McKenzie, Wayne County, Greenfield, South Fulton

2A: McMinn Central, Gatlinburg Pittman, York, East Nashville, Loretto, Huntingdon, Gibson County, Westview

3A: David Crockett, Greeneville, Heritage, Upperman, Creek Wood, South Side, Dyersburg, South Gibson

4A: Jefferson County, Bearden, Bradley Central, Cookeville, Lincoln County, Brentwood, Bartlett, Clarksville

Some of these can book their rooms in Murfreesboro right now.  A few other spots will be competitive.  I have no idea on the second team from east TN in 1A.

does not look like tullahoma is in the running in AAA.  Heard a bad riverdale team beat them in a scrimmage today. Central Magnet has to be the favorites in a weak district with Lawrence County being the runner-up and all the upper cumberland teams should be favorites in the region tournament. I like Livingston Academy and the way they play.  
has anyone seen Cumberland County this year?

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
