@OLD PIRATE,  you were one of those that were very adamant about having this border rivalry instead of the jailhouse rivalry.  Yet you've said nothing thus far on this contest.  At least not here on the T that I'm aware.    Not that you need to or should feel obligated to.

I wish the Pirates could keep NJ and add Jasper back on the schedule. Make it work on a rotation that a year you didn’t play Jasper at home you played NJ at home. That way you have one big money game every year. Alternate that with a Sequatchie crowd that travels well and you’ve made more in 1-2 games at the gate than some teams make all season long.

Goodness gracious. SP couldn’t score that much on Sequatchie and after seeing their score last week they obviously don’t have a great defense. I don’t look for SP to score like that in this game either.  Go Pirates!

I'm telling yall,  this game is in Alabama.   I'm telling ya straight up,  they ain't gonna allow this game or any border game of such snowball and get outta hand.

From what I'm told with the current administrations this game is "years" down the road. I remember a few on here saying the Jasper gate wasn't needed, other teams would bring just as much in. If you had this game at the end of the season with 2 undefeated or maybe 1 loss team just think of the gate. Someone is missing out on about $50k this year. Not sure what the Pirates bring back next season but Jasper should be just as good if not better so there's a gate that the other team will miss out on next year.
