ETSU football is a joke, I was surprised when GQ took that job in the first place.  Nobody can win there consistently, the fan support is pathetic.

Sanders did

2021 Fall beat Vandy  won the Socon beat KSU held NDSU scoreless in the first quarter no other fcs playoff team did that

2021 Spring 17th team in a normal year that's a playoff

2019 played 8 QBs

2018 fcs playoff Won SoCon

Quarles in 2022 had 20 returning starters from that 2021 year team and ended 3-8 then didn't improve lost more talent at the end of his tenure he had 34 scholarship players. Tre Lamb signed more guys by 9 am on early signing day than Quarles did all early signing period he was a middle of the road OC as Furman as blossomed offensively since he left. Plus insider knowledge at etsu says he was waiting to retire in 2 years and was in auto pilot

It was all in place for him. Everything a coach could possibly need. Everybody pulling in the same direction. Dang, he must stink as a football coach. The White brothers must have carried him for years. Yeah…let’s go with that. Who is all in?

Rockvale girls won the title by five shots over Providence  Christian 155-`160 after the Lions won the 1913 Invitational at Johnson City by 10 shots over Greeneville. The course was wet and muddy in the morning but the rain finally broke and some good scores were had. The Webb School boys had Phet Phothong score a 69 while Carter  Burks shot 70 following up his 72 in Johnson City on Monday. The girls had Solia Mechling of Rockvale lead the way with a 73 in taking the title as they improved their score by 30 shots over Monday in East Tennessee as they found the homestead Indian Hills to their liking.  Rockvale and Central Magnet will head to the Battle of Hermitage on Wednesday July 31st. On Tuesday Stewarts Creek and Smyrna will do battle at Smyrna Golf Course  with an early tee time of 11 AM. The next day Oakland, Webb and Nolensville will tee off at Champions Run beginning at 9 AM.
