Congrats! I’ll be your first. It’s kind of silly. I can see where it would help teams to have more 19 yr olds playing, Not so much for the kid. It’s a sum of the parts I guess. As a coach, I’d rather have 30 who redshirted.

Understand the young thing. I was one of those. Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college. But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion. Life isn't always going to be fair.

It can help them academically, socially and add confidence. I was still 17 when I finished my first quarter at UT. I was the last to get my driver's license. It's not always just for athletics. BarneySox2007
Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off. As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.

What has hurt Maryville is they haven't had the receivers or defensive backs the last few years that they had during their run. RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
