It’s crazy how far out we have got a general idea of our lineup for when they hit HS

I’m not saying I know what their lineup will be. But when they get to MS and see 5-6 kids around the same weight they may start to look else where so they can hit the HS line up earlier. There are like 20 MS weight classes only 14 weights in HS. Some kids will be left out.

22 weight classes in TNAAU to be exact which IMO is WAY too much. That was one of the reasons I liked coaching the MS conference events that had around 12-14 weight classes more so than the Top 100/Region/State events back in the day.

Who are you referring to when you say "they" wont be talking about in 10-20 years. Do you really think anyone will be talking about a HS dual meet that happened 20 years ago? Stop being silly.

Im sure a Daddy on coacht has no influence over getting a dual meet scheduled.

Why do you get so aggressive and unnecessarily hostile with people in here? @CarlSpackler88 is just telling you what he thinks would happen. He is also constantly praising how good Cleveland is as a team and will be next year. Yet you’re constantly coming at and bashing McCallies whole program. Just relax….its a healthy debate on a good matchup between two good teams.

Cleveland Raiders are always loaded. Cleveland Raiders have the best wrestling in the state. Cleveland Raiders are just to good not to win the championship again in 2025. It will happen. I guarantee it. Watch and see. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

That’s true but so will McCallie it looks like. They only have two seniors and maybe one junior I believe. The rest are 8th and 9th graders with a couple sophomores. Excited to see them battle it out over the next few years

Cleveland Raiders and McCallie Tornado will have some good matches. I do not think either team will skunk the other team much less mercy rule them. It will not happen. I guarantee it. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

Both Cleveland and McCallie have good teams.  I wish that someone would do a weight class by weight class analysis of both teams using the kids and the weights they are for the region tournament.

Weight Class Cleveland Wrestler Record Grade vs McCallie Wrestler Record Grade
106 Jose Cordero 22-8 10 vs Jaxon Lane 19-2 8
113 Chase Walker 15-6 11 vs Axel Ritchie 38-7 10
120 Colt Maughon 17-8 10 vs Brody Connell 30-13 10
126 Zac Bosken 26-7 11 vs Cainan Williams 31-12 8
132 Kaden Rice 11-8 11 vs Dylan Villers 20-5 8
138 Blake Congdon 19-10 &n vs Cooper Ledbetter 30-11 8
144 Roman York 12-12 11 vs Zaydan Morgan 29-9 9
150 William Schuft 21-7 12 vs Braden Ryan 23-14 10
157 Cy Fowler 23-6 11 vs Cannon Voiles 24-14 9
165 Logan Fowler 23-1 12 vs James Cross 28-8 12
175 Dylan Harrold 13-6 12 vs Fischer French 2-2 10
190 Lucas Szymborski 22-2 11 vs Ja`Von McMahan 19-9 12
215/220 Gabe Moore (220) 22-9 10 vs Cooper Gentle (215) 25-9 10
285 Tyson Russel 27-6 11 vs Carson Gentle 2-0 12

Below is what I believe would happen in a straight up head to head matchup with no weight shift. Ill let y'all play around with what may happen in terms of shifting weights for advantage.

  1. 106: Jaxon Lane wins by decision (maybe pin) - Assuming decision: 3 points for McCallie (If pin: 6 points)
  2. 113: Chase Walker wins by decision - 3 points for Cleveland
  3. 120: Brody Connell wins by decision - 3 points for McCallie
  4. 126: Zac Bosken wins by major decision - 4 points for Cleveland
  5. 132: Dylan Villers wins by decision - 3 points for McCallie
  6. 138: Information not enough to determine
  7. 144: Zaydan Morgan wins by major or pin - Assuming major: 4 points for McCallie (If pin: 6 points)
  8. 150: Information not enough to determine
  9. 157: Cy Fowler wins by pin - 6 points for Cleveland
  10. 165: Logan Fowler wins by pin - 6 points for Cleveland
  11. 175: Dylan Harrold wins by decision (maybe pin) - Assuming decision: 3 points for Cleveland (If pin: 6 points)
  12. 190: Lucas Szymborski wins by decision - 3 points for Cleveland
  13. 215/220: Cooper Gentle wins by fall - 6 points for McCallie
  14. 285: Carson Gentle wins by fall - 6 points for McCallie

Let's calculate the points, noting the weights where information is insufficient for determination (138 and 150).

Based on the outcomes I've suggested and assuming the lower point values for ambiguous outcomes (decision instead of pin where unsure), the final team scores are:

  • Cleveland: 25 points
  • McCallie: 25 points

Looks like a very tight good matchup!
