Dustin Peels.  Was the head coach at Wartburg the last two seasons.  Not sure where he ended up after he left Wartburg, but he grew the rosters every year he was there and we actually were competitive in games for the first time in years

Dustin Peels is now at Heritage. Coaching DBs.

Our ceiling this year is 1 win,I'm not joking either.Sunbright is the game we have to pull out because all others are out of reach for our young team.Im not confident in that win with all the problems this team has to overcome.Gray is the ONLY actual coach we have on the team. The others have no experience at all just basically "helpers" because no coach worth their salt would come on board with the guy that got fired.I give them credit for staying for the kids (although a few of them did go to Brookshire and give Clemmer their blessing, yep i cant let that one go) but we need REAL coaches to bring these kids along for next season. We have the kids coming  up and they need to be groomed.

So simple to fix my friends. Hire Coach Ryan back. Offer him a fulltime teaching position, a coaching stipend the exact same as the current highest paid coach in Blount Co and a budget to hire his own assistants. Within two seasons GB will be once again competing for state titles. For those that weren't around Coach Ryan coached a State Champion and a State Runner Up in football and a State Championship in Baseball  in the last two years he coached there, Who were the members of The GB Brain Trust that let him get away?

Every one of those kids who transferred or quit during Clemmers regime should be able to come back status quo no issues as far as I'm https://youtu.be/HE1hf2nhi0s?si=VxpkqUFcnMX1QZfk!

Nope. They can piss up a rope. I’m had some Pos bosses & co workers over 35 years at my job yet I’m still here & they are gone

I can tell by your post you are one of those workers with tender nipples always with the company, foreman, co-workers etc. are against me. Jeez Bud after 35 years call it a career (if scraping gum up around the facility is a career) and just F'ing retire. The lady in HR has had to be talked down off the roof ledge while threatening to jump because she's sick of seeing your complaints come across her desk.

As for those players that you say so eloquently that can "piss up a rope". May I suggest that some of them will someday play at the college level if they are well coached at the High School level. ( I know HS was unfair so you quit in your freshman year for a job scrubbing the urinals at Mama Wangs Oriental Massage Parlor)  I ride with orngnblk on having the displaced sons of GB come home.

highest paid coach in Blount Co - 1st problem is...........the school is in the LOUDON CO school system. Not sure why Blount Co is the measuring stick.

Who were the members of The GB Brain Trust that let him get away? - Technically Coach Ryan left!! Remember Coach Ryan decided to head to Catholic HS to be the OC and when the HC left/fired so did the assistants. Now, why didn't Greenback hire Coach Ryan back???? Well that has been chronicled at nauseam on CoachT, but since you seem to have been away....Central Office (that would be Loudon Co Central Office) took over in a totally political move and refused to hire Coach Ryan (when I say political....county commissioners even weighed in).  Then the towns folk said we will burn this to the ground and they have.....so it is what it is at this point.

OnB I’m glad things hopefully begin to look up for you guys! You know it’s not a normal game against GB when we’re up by 35 at the half. Our region is clearly a better region when you guys are relevant. Hopefully we can both have a  new and proven head coach here soon!

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few. And as far as Wilkins riding off into the sunset, where do y'all seem to think he will leave?? Wilkins is a healthy dude and he loves basketball and loves coaching. I wouldn't be suprised if he coaches a few more years. He loves the game and loves every minute of coaching.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
