Micheal Dodgen at Smith Co.?

I know when he was hired there was alot of optimism about him and the job Smith Co fans thought he could do. Just wondering how he is doing and how the girls are playing. Haven't got down to Cathage to watch the Owls, but hopefully I will. Just wondering how he was doing

He is doing fine, there record does not indicate how well they have played, they have lost four games by 1 point, and have missed alot of free throws that would have won them games versus Upperman, York, cannon and Pigeon forge. It will take some time but the young girls are playing well.

I know Coach Dodgen, given time he will do well You cannot come in and change a team overnight like you want. I have found that out. You have to build from game to game win or lose and try to find something postive to build on and tweek the mistakes you make.

Coach Dodgen is fittin' in just fine around these parts. He is doin' a good job, and we will keep him around as long

as he keeps handin out some free t's to the right people(XL). Hope he stays around for a while. The girls are playin' hard and are fun to watch.

Well that is good to hear about Micheal D. I have known him for a while and he is a great person with a great background in the women's game. Best of luck to him and Smith Co.

Yep...we'll keep Dodgen...as long as he realizes that SOFTBALL is his sport...and as for those free t-shirts????...Maybe he better give himself one...cause if I hear he wears a blue shirt Friday night at Gordansville...he's in big trouble!!!...Sheeeeesh...what was he thinking???...BLACK AND GOLD DodgeRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Coach Dodgen is a great Coach! If I were teh AD at a school he would be my #1 Choice period flat out. I wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't end up back here in east Tennessee.

 

His dad is the coach at Farragut and I think the logical choice will be Michael when his dad retires.

What are you guys smoking? Coaching a mediocre middle school team for one year and a girls team in Smith Co. for 5 games doesn't exactly qualify one for the Farragut High job, does it?

If you don't want him, we'll be glad to keep him as long as he wants to stay. He has done an extremely good job here.

Wow, I think I'm going to get my resume together and start sending it out to high school openings. I mean, afterall, I've coached 2 or 3 junior-pro teams (we didn't win a game, but who cares?) and I also watch a lot of bball on tv. That qualifies me, doesn't it?

celina, don't knock it until you've tried it. Just think about it, if it weren't for billygoats, you guys in Smith Co. wouldn't have anyway to mow the yards around your trailers.
