  1. Ah I know I look old for my age but can’t I be Gaddis’s younger brother? He’s 12 years older than me. I’ve never considered myself to be a media guy but thank you for listening. One of the differences between what I do and what keyboard people such as yourself do is I am willing to sign my name to my thoughts and opinions. Same with live radio. It’s out there for all to hear. What’s your name by the way and how do you know things ?

  4. This is redicuulous. Davis Clary doesn't deserve insults. Joe Gaddis doesn't deserve insults. They both are doing their jobs.

  5. Same here, bud. Why wait till after the season, though? If it is true (God knows), they should’ve been dealt with long before then. I know what you mean, though.

  7. When a young man I put several years of time and energy into helping grow as a player, student and person jumped ship his senior year for what he and his father thought were greener pastures (with the encouragement of the other school's HC), I knew it was time to get out of coaching. I still love what happens on Friday nights between the the sidelines, but it's no longer worth what coaches have to put up with. Sadly changes in player/parent expectations and the trickle down negative influences from the NFL and college have really changed the game at the HS level. I'm just not interested in recruiting or competing to keep transfers, NIL deals, social media, entitled kids and parents, elite 7 on 7 leagues, camps and combines, fund raising to have multiple new uniform combinations every year, etc.

  12. That is the farthest thing from the truth and your sources are incredibly wrong or just starting to stir things up. The job officially closes Sunday. There are between 40 and 50 applicants for the job from all over Tennessee and the country. They will begin the process next week. Coach Gaddis has no intentions of being the coach and he loves what he’s doing now. Feel free to call or visit him. His door is always open. David Clary

  13. I think you missed his point. He didn't say anything about AC's coaches Cursing, he said don't throw a stone from a glass house when "Supposedly" (Don't know if it's true but has been brought up several times on different threads) that some AC players hazed a kid when they were at a 7 vs 7 in Florida over the summer and that kid ended up at Oak Ridge as a promising QB that would have been at AC. Like i've said before i've been yelled and cursed at by multiple State Championship coaches and turned out just fine. I know they wanted to bring the best out in me and had these conversations with them after seasons end. It help me not be so thin skin about life and not get offended like everyone gets now a days, also didn't hurt my work ethic and help me create a successful business that take the same discipline they taught me.

  14. I don't know who is giving out titles as his son is the #2 QB in the Class of whatever. It's not a fair expectation for anybody, especially for his son. If his son were to go to a camp and did well, and potentially was the second best QB at that camp in his graduating class, does not mean he is overall the 2nd best QB in the class of 2026. Someone gave that expectation to another QB at a "Nashville area" school and he hasn't panned out anywhere to being the "best QB in the class of 2024." But giving that QB that title has put way too much confidence into him where he is a little too cocky for himself (not referring to Jackson). With that being said, I saw his son play at the middle school level and he's good. But at this point in his career, saying he's the #2 QB in 2026 is a reach. Unless it was garbaged time, he hasn't played a snap on Friday night. He is not the second best QB in 2026. I'm more disappointed that someone gave him that title...

  15. lol, that's the Science Hill mindset. Go-3-23 on the season with two wins against DB = successful season.

  16. Everybody has been calling on DB to improve the quality of their schedule. Next year looks like pretty good quality. Problem is I think everybody also thought DB was improving the quality of their program. I just don't see that happening. After Christian took over, I count one good year. And that was most likely due to the talent that year, not coaching. Christian is a good guy but he's not going to advance the program, plain and simple. The way things are done in Kingsport, it'll be another 10 years before a change is made. Unless Christian decides to quit or retire. And even then, he'll be replaced with another member of the staff and the same mind set will continue on. Heck if Clark hadn't retired, he'd still be there playing his weak schedule and ending up 6-4 or 7-3 every year. Everybody with half a brain knows that you have to develop players with good coaching starting in the little leagues and through middle school. We've been pushing that point hard for 20 years now. They have done nothing. Actually, the quality of coaching in the lower leagues has got worse. Ain't never gonna' happen.

  17. Yep and it should be like that. We have been District 13 and 14 for 40 some odd years and have had to play 15 and 16 in substate. Well two years ago they gave Memphis 3 Districts, half of the teams forfeited and they gave us District 12 and have to play a Middle TN Region and sectional. Well now you have Gibson County, Westview, Huntingdon, Summertown and Loretto fighting for two spots. All of these teams have been to the Glass House pretty regular. Memphis has never took girl’s basketball very serious and have teams forfeit Region semi games. Now they got them in two Districts like they should have. Of course the boys fans won’t like it and some of the board members that wanted to avoid boys in Memphis won’t like it. But no way they should have had them in three Districts.

  19. I don't know anything about the coach , but I will take everyone's silence since he was announced, he is pretty good. Not a lot of trash being said now by anyone. Some of you know it all's , probably never laced a shoulder pad. Internet warriors. Crickets from all of you now. Lol
