I just thought I’d say Upperman since they kinda act like they are the alcoa of 4a right now

We just lined up and were committed to running the ball from the first cannon fire to the last. No style points. Just hard-nosed playoff football. Outside of a couple of Hail Mary's we played stellar defense for the most part. We've come a long ways since our first scrimmage of the season. Growing pains are over and this group of Pirates are determined as ever to continue their journey towards the ultimate goal. The road to Chattanooga continues. Go Pirates!!

If our(WCHS) QB was 100% I'd say White County wins. Since he's not i say toss a coin i think it will be a close one.

Only 1 runner up trophy. However they have 3-4 in baseball and 3-4 in women’s basketball. Their men’s basketball team will be one of the favorites to win it all this year. So the future is bright. What about Westy?

Doris is closed…Ollie’s best bet….if you like pizza they have a local place across the road from Mexican right down road is Ollie’s. I’ve been going there since the 70’s. Ollie’s got the elephant burger and pretty good catfish. Sometimes you can get frog legs. Look for big elephant out front.

If you do come to the game go all the way out and buy a Sub Way or Chick-Fil-A at the concession stand. Don't cheap it out thinking your going to get the hot dog on the right or you'll be terribly surprised.

For everyone that wants to do comparisons of which team beat which team and by how much, here is a FACT stat. Springfield hasn’t lost a game all season by more than 7 points, including the great and mighty Beech Bucs. Could they lose by more than that yes, but they haven’t yet so I’ll stand by the FACTS until proven otherwise. That is all, carry on.

Other fan bases say that kinda stuff. I have never heard another Upperman fan say anything like that. lol I’m a Upperman fan. I lived her 7 years and we might get a player or 2 each year. Some people want there child going to Upperman or Monterey because that don’t want there child going to a big school like Cookeville. There is nothing wrong with Cookeville just wanted them to go to a smaller school. Does it help that we have a big school like Cookeville in a county. Yes it does but we play in 4a like we our suppost to. If anyone feels it is unfair talk to tssaa. That’s the only thing I can tell you. Like Friday night. Macon had twice as many players as we did on there team.

10000% true. I think it's a shame that they are being allowed to stream it live and take away from the team getting to experience a full or close to full house. On top of that they are making money off of it and not giving back to the teams much less the school with sponsorship ads. Stealing from the kids in more than 1 way

Just wanted to chime in and wish Richland the best of luck. I first saw them against Lincoln Co when this season began and told a friend I thought Richland was the team to watch in their region. Sure enough they took the top spot. One thing that was glaring to me in that first game was how undersized the Raiders looked but how determined they played. You'd have to be wearing orange and sipping on a little Jack probably to pick Richland in this one but I will say what others have mentioned in various threads. I don't see the boys from Giles Co quitting at any point. I think they pull out all the tricks from the bag and leave everything on the field. Coming from a Moore Co fan, the Richland "Runts" have been a fun team to watch and to follow. Give 'em heck boys!

The fan base in Oak Ridge is getting older. The middle aged folks don’t care as much as in the past and the young people are just doing young people stuff. And it ain’t football playing or watching!

It's false confidence. Y'all beat a yearly over hyped Munford team that always falls flat on their face in the first or second round. And beat a down Henry County team. Beech is absolutely rolling. This one will get out of hand pretty quickly. Beech by a minimum 28

Dude, you and plenty other Upperman fans acted like that. Plus acting like babies about people sitting on your side when I’ve been going to high school football games for 25 years and never seen a team literally post not to sit on a side of the field. I mean from Riverdale, Alcoa, Maryville, Jefferson County, Red Bank and I could go on and on, only Upperman are babies enough for that. But again there’s a ton of posts that said Macon had no chance that they played so bad and still won that first game. So I’m glad Macon absolutely wore you all out!

I don’t think this game goes anything like the first meeting. The first game was on a Thursday and raining. Don’t think any of the players or fans from Huntingdon acted like they really wanted to be there most of the fans left before the 1st qt was over anyways. Finally got all the pieces on defense where they need to be and playing lights out. special teams played great all year. Offense is clicking three backs carrying the ball now so you can’t just key in on one. Mustangs have improved every week since first meeting.

I’m usually not this bold in predicting, especially this deep in the playoffs and/or against Beech, but I’m going to say Springfield big. I think the first matchup with Beech woke Springfield up and they will score early and often. Springfield 42 Beech 17

Yes, but at WR. QB2 was a good replacement too, but his wheels weren't in the same class. Kid that started the season was a legit threat to take it to the house on designed runs and/or busted plays, as well as through the air. Much easier to scheme against the run or the pass when you can contain the QB in the pocket. Wouldn't have mattered 28 points Friday night anyway, but it would have mattered some. Just curious, because my quote was tied to their record before/after the TCA game...would you say that their schedule was tougher before or after? Just keeping the conversation in context.

You probably didn’t say that Macon couldn’t win. You chose your words wisely there but go back and read your first post from this thread. How would that not come off as arrogance reading from the other perspective? You got tore up with the guy just predicting an Upperman loss. Then adding in no chance at stopping the unstoppable offense and how Macon played the best they could play the first game and Upperman played bad and still won. Again, you may not see it but to the others reading it, it reads as straight arrogance. It’s all good though it’s a message board, barbs and jabs being thrown is what makes people come back for more. Just got to sack up and accept you’re going to get some egg on your face when you got to face the music. Don’t be so sensitive about it.

Y’all are going to have a hard time with Alcoa then. Do you know how many kids transfer or move into that program year over year? Y’all might as well pack up and go home if all you can do is complain about what YOU perceive is unethical because that team will have 3-5 new kids next year and they will all be difference makers!

Just letting you know why it happens. Plenty have had to hear and read all year about how Upperman was unbeatable, unstoppable and how they’re so much better than all others. How bad Upperman played the first time and still came out with the win, last night proved that the first game was a fluke and wouldn’t happen again. Did you actually think that wouldn’t come back to you when they got beat? Again, if you spew arrogance all year you’re going to hear about it when you get put in your place. Think I’ll stay around in the weeds most of the time but I’ll stay around for for now. You can deal with it.

East Roberson is the most undisciplined team I’ve ever seen in my life. They had well over 200 yards in penalties and mostly unsportsmanlike conduct. Constant mouthing from players all game. Hope they liked getting punched in the mouth 49-18. They’ve got a problem that needs cleaned up. Baseball team was the same way this past spring at South Pittsburg. Warrior For Life

I’m not a fan of any of these teams but reading this board for a few weeks and I was cheering against Upperman, your fans do suck, cocky as I’ll get out and yet never accomplished anything. You have no state titles in football but yet act like gods gift to football. So I don’t blame the fans of local teams to you for enjoying your losses! Acting like Alcoa over here without the trophy case! Sorry just calling like I see it

You ever wonder where every other sport at Upperman got the idea that getting kids from other places helps your program? Girls basketball at Upperman been doing it for years and years but now all the other coaches there catching on. I’ve never disliked Upperman until here recently. The arrogance and unwillingness to admit they have an advantage pisses a lot of people off, not just from DeKalb but everywhere else in this district too. If they would just admit it, then I would be able to stomach them a little bit more
