OK guys, let's get ready for this perenial matchup!

This will be the first matchup of many more games to follow between these two schools! I look forward to this game. Myself and others at BA have a deep respect for Coach Bowers. We have been on the recieving end of more than a few losses from him!

I was at Ensworth over the summer (August) for my daughters basketball games, and watched a little of Ensworth's practice. They definitely have athletes and a great coach(es).

My pick......BA 28 Ensworth 7 /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Having watched both play several times this year, I think it will be closer than that. I think BA will pull it out late with depth, but it will be closer than BA would like it to be.

This should be a great game. Good luck to both!

Congrats to EHS on another milestone win for your up and coming young program.

I think the ride ends this week though.

I believe BA and MBA will have to sort this whole best team in the state thing out.

In a perfect worl, MBA handles Ryan in short order, and Ensworth and BA are still playing overtimes late Wednesday afternoon.

BA wins big

EHS needs Jefferson in the backfield

Jefferson would definitely help, but they said the same thing prior to the CBHS game. Don't get me wrong, CBHS is not a BA, but EHS was able to run up 300+ yards against the #1 defense (statistically) in DII.

Should be a good game, EHS has convinced me that no team should over look them.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
