Congrats to Smyrna.. great game.. Now as for Riverdale.. dang still hard for some of us to believe you are out of the playoffs. Earlier in the posting someone referenced the coaching situation at Riverdale and LOD stated it is up to Mr. Nolan.. Well if the supporters go away because a program has gone from having a target on their back to not even being looked at as a threat, then I do think Mr. Nolan should and will look at the coaching staff. For the last 3 years you have had amazing talent but for some reason they have not been able to pull it out and show it in games. That is a "COACHING" issue. We have to remember these guys are still teenagers and are looking for guidance which it seems evident they are not getting it. Yes Coach A has been getting the recruiters to come .. great job for that but they were only wanting to come because they knew what kind of powerhouse Riverdale WAS.... now lets see how many recruiters will show up or be calling. Will the head coaches be coming out like before (doubt it). and this team has some great guys that could (when given the right leadership) do some amazing things. Warriors keep your heads up! True Riverdale supporters (including myself) will always be there and wanting nothing but the best for each one of you!

last2know i disagree with you a little bit i think the colleges will still come because we do still have talent out there...#20 if he is given the ball 20-25 times a game would be a Mr5A candidate he is a legit back and i wish he could have gotten the ball more but thats the nature of the wing T...we do still have a lot of talent and there is more good talent coming so i do believe that we will be back we have hit a bump in the road but i think things will get smoothed out and get back to the way it should be.

BASKETBALL SEASON IS ON THE WAY AND OUR GIRLS ARE REALLY GOOD and OUR BOYS HAVE SOME YOUNG TALENT

GO WARRIORS

#20 will never flourish in the current system.Crowd was way down last night,Could that be a sign of things to come if the current staff stays?

The crowd was very small for a game of such huge importance. The reason for that is one of many questions that have to be answered. It was senior night too so you have to expect there were extra parents and grand-parents.

As for #20, I think he needs to have a great off-season in the weight room and build some power to go with his speed/moves. Right now he is definitely not a prototypical back for the wing-t.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
