One of our DBs' was leading the state in INTs' not long ago. Not sure of the

numbers currently.

We can talk smack all week, but the Bucs & Jackets will decide the game on the field, not on CoachT.

Enjoy the ride.......... :bored:

Hey which player was it that was leading? I didn't know about that!

#26, Joey Cox. A few weeks ago he was leading with 8. Not sure of the status now. There were

a bunch at that time with 7. Anyway, he's always hanging around the ball, waiting. LOL

Hey Grunt were do you find that Info at I was wondering what our turnover rating was the last I hear it was like +26. I also think we should be high in team picks.

It was in the Tennessean each week. Stats for rushing, passing, rec., tackles, INTs' Think

they have stopped after the reg. season tho. Haven't seen any lately. Don't know if you could find

any of the old stuff in their archives. Might Google the Tennessean & give it a shot. Might be in your

local paper as well. :bored:

I do think the Bucs will surprise some of the TC faithful. It's possible that y'all may have never seen a small school defense quite like this one. I know I haven't.

We practice against a defense that good everyday. :thumb:

....hay slim....go check tha batteries on tha ole crystal ball...me tinks it mite be feedin ya misinformation....we practise against a defence better'n dat everday...... :bored:

Stifler, I believe you to be a historian on here at times, sure that there are some facts about W-L records at Championship games. You know that its gonna get started this week. Before it does know it doesn't matter what we have seen before only what we see on Saturday. Jackets be ready sounds like BBs got something amazing to show us. Fans and former players I figure will be in the stands saying "remember when ___________ tried that defense with us" Hope for all that it is a safe and injury free war, cause BBs you have no idea what's coming, and if you do, its coming anyways!!!!!

Didn't say that y'alls defense wasn't better or worse, I just said y'all haven't seen one quite like this.

TC didn't get where they are without a great team, we all know that. IMHO, Boyd is ready to bring some respect for the mountains of East Tennessee.

I understand what you are saying. All I'm saying is that you guys aren't going to bring anything that Grunt, Slim, Tushy, and ole3putt haven't seen before. In '97 we averaged giving up a touch over four points per game. Can't really remember how many shut-outs we had, but 8 points was the most scored on us that year in a single game, playoffs included. I was a starter that year, and we only played three full games, so our second team def was pretty good too! Good enough that they won it again next year. That '97 team also has the single season state scoring record. All I'm saying is....no doubt you guys are legit, and your defense is outstanding. But even if you guys pull out the victory, it won't be anything because of anything that we haven't witnessed before. :roflol:

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
