tornadogold
Last year Alcoa had 54 rushes for 154 yards. for 2.8 yards a carry. Milan had 28 for 131 yards. Who knows if Alcoas defense is better this year than last year. Losses of Sam Thompson in the secondary and chase james could hurt. Milan lost a few but Williamson and Company gained another year of EXP. Alcoa didn't dominate anything rushing the football last year. They scored other ways. Toney at the goalline had 3 straight rushes for -1 yards before tossing the halfback pass. Alcoas line was twice as big as Milans. Difference- Milan Linebackers shoot gaps faster than Alcoa can get out of a stance. Alcoas been running all over people this year, and last year minus the game with Milan. Whos to say Milan won't shut it down again with the same players back on D? Scary huh? Oh, whatever will Alcoa do? Williamson & Co. have gained another year of experience, but the poor Tornadoes are just playing freshman and boys who have never played in a big game. Our linemen are so very slow; Milan will run all over them. Sam is missed because he is one of a kind, but, as always, we have others who have stepped up. It's been incredible to see the younger kids mature this year. By the way...doesn't this thread sound a whole lot like the Goodpasture threads from 2006 & 2007? JohnnieHaleStadium
Refer back to my post earlier about how you pound the rock You did not pound the rock on Milan last year like you did all last season on your opponents. Remember your 4th down half back pass after being thrown down 3 straight times on the goal line? I would say a team that POUNDS THE ROCK would have POUNDED it in? Don't you?? Milan spreads the wealth on offense. Toney was the prime offensive player for Alcoa.
JohnnieHaleStadium
I only put up the top four rushers for Milan. There were 7 total players with offensive stats.
themagicrooster
I'll tell you what, I have got $1,000 dollars ( 10 -$100 bills) that say Alcoa beats Milan.......... U WANT SOME????????????????????? You must not have a job, money these days is to hard to get, and you're willing to throw it away on a HS football game. GO DAWGS! If Mayville wins and by some chance Milan wins, does that make MILAN the best in Tennessee high school football?
