Win or lose the appeal, SM plays two more games this year and Senior night for the Eagles is tomorrow night. The kids have regrouped from the mess they faced last Friday pretty well and will be ready to go. I expect them to finish the year strong and play well.

Go Eagles!

I hope SM wins it appeal.because I have already took off work for the play-offs and the state game.......that why im upset about this.....I be at the game tomorrow,I will have a LANCER10 shirt on

say it barb... "if signal mountain had an open enrollment policy, such as greenevilles, no one would have had the grounds to file a complaint about an ooz player. therefore, a simple clerical error wouldn't have been found, buried in the paperwork, that got signal caught with their pants down." ... say it barb.popcorneater.gif

From your response it doesn't look like you read it all the way through. If you had you would also note SM isn't the only school that thinks we are right. :popcorneater:

Yeah. You're right. The guy from Soddy Daisy sounds as out of touch with TSSAA rules as SMMHS administration. He will most likely regret making those comments in the media. I'll bet his AD has already been checking all the documentation for his transfers as a result of that article. If not, they deserve the same punishment.

So.. since SMMHS and Soddy Daisy think the TSSAA is wrong that means that you are getting your wins back and the rules will be changed?

Unfortunately for SM, Soddy-Daisy isn't the TSSAA headquarters.

Yeah, you get the gold star and move to the front of the class. You read it. Funny though what Dr. McCullough said in his response has now been publicly echoed by another school. Believe me when I say there are plenty more just like this across the state.

No on Signal Mountain :thumb:Not in Jasper,...To be a manger in McDonald's you must have all your teeth, sorry no crack-heads :roflolk:

Reading comprehension must be a real issue on Signal Mountain.. Ummmm. Nothing in that ad said anything about Jasper there cowboy.. Heck, there's not even a McDonald's in Jasper for that matter.. Those positions were in Hamilton County and one in Spring City...

Nope there are plenty more schools that know they are wrong just like SD and SM. Unfortunately the people with Open Zone policies just don't seem to understand. :roflolk:

Yes they reassigned him to SM. they didn't change all of Brainerd to SM territory.Brainerd is Ooltewah territory..........they assign him to go to school not play sports.....how hard is that for you to understand.................. Way did he not go to Ooltewah his hardship didn't have anything to do with them,

Actually, according to T$$AA, Brainerd is not part of Ooltewah's territory and Howard is not part of Signal's territory. From what I understand, T$$AA has said that they do not recognized NCLB, and ALL NCLB transfers require a T$$AA hardship waiver.

Territory
–
For a public school, the “territory†of the school is the geographic boundaries and
bus routes of the area served by that school as established by the local board of education.
For a system-wide public school, the “territory†of the school is the geographic boundaries of the school system. For a non-public school, the “territory†of the school is the area within a twenty (20) mile radius from the school.

I guess the NCLB bus routes aren't really bus routes.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
