One sheriff's department official said the investigation is continuing and that more charges could be coming, as early as this week. He would neither confirm nor deny whether other members of the Marion County coaching staff were involved.

Thought it was very interesting that the article stated that the investigation of Scmitt's phone records revealed conversations with "coaches"..as in plural.....

Folkes, this is terrible news that effects the whole county because us kinfolkes all have family and friends that have ties to the mess created in Jasper! Old Pirate ain't surprised with this development but it really hurts the kids from Jasper. As a avid futeball fans all of us fellers surely feel for the players.

I really do hope the young men for Marion don't let this bring em down. So unfortunate that those kids carry themselves better than their coaches! The kids deserve better...
