jackets34
Nope it was losing to Coalfield.LOL.The man was in the United States Army served in Iraq and he is afraid of losing to Coalfield,im sorry but that is a ridiculous assumption. He has a great opportunity and gets to spend time with his family,we all would pray for those opportunities. It was his second year as a head coach and he did a pretty good job.Why does everything have to be about CHS you all finally made the State game in one of the worst eastern Tenn football yrs that i can remember so you all enjoy that and we will find us another coach and get to work.No one said he was afraid of losing to Coalfield. But from what I here about irate parents after losing to Coalfield this past year, you'd be stupid to not assume that made his decision easier. All we've heard from the past few years is how much better a team Greenback had than Coalfield, but at the end of the year Coalfield proved over and over again that better doesn't always convert over to wins. Our kids had a lot of heart and played their butts off so quit taking their success this year away from them by saying it was the worse season in East Tennessee football that you can remember. I hope he is successful in all he does in life. Edited February 15, 2015 by jackets34

Polarsloth
I left before this went on but it was hard for him.I liked the good old days when the coach ran the team and the parents knew it and kept their mouth shut!Good luck to the Jackets and to the Pirates,GB will still be here!greenback isn't going anywhere. They will make a good hire I'm sure.
TheMan0405
I hope your just acting like an idiot and arent one in real life.He has a young family and it really was a tough decision for him he loves the kids.I wish him the best.I dont think he really understood how much time is involved now days in this sport its a year round thing.I said it partly joking but like 34 said the way your fans treated him after that game had to make the decision easier. bigknocka8
Will they hire within or bring in new blood? Seems like they have quite a few assistant coaches for a small school.

Seems like they have quite a few assistant coaches for a small school. Not sure, myself i wish they would hire someone who is actually a former player(that would qualify)or an alumnist.Im not big on the outsiders they dont understand the cummunity and tbe small school atmoshere as well as folks who have been around the program. But thats my biased opinion.LOL.A few of those Assistants are unpaid former players and a couple of the little league coaches(that are outstanding coaches). We will see.
