Years in the making. Minutes to end it.

Come on guys, let it go. I know and care for both of you. None of this issue would be happening if we just quit having referee crews populated by former players from either school. It is simple to swap crews with an adjoining county, say Knox, who hate us both and will call the game with equal opportunity "hating". The presence of former players from either school will continue to present a rich environment for anger when critical calls are made or missed (and yes, I agree there were missed calls for Maryville).

Yes, I was madder than a smashed cat Friday night. Yes, i screamed and yelled. But I am over it. Lastly and more importantly, I have made a butt out of myself before due to this stupid board. I would like to not see that happen to either of you. We should be like the boys playing Friday night. I am sure you all saw how many of our sons know and respect each other. They were laughing, joking and complementing each other. I want to be like them. Let's drop this thread and move on. Maryville, see you in CookVegas!

Classy post. And you got another classy son playing on the field on Friday nights. I saw he and mine talking after the game. That's what the greatest rivalry in TN is all about for me.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
