Maryville plays the best teams in east tn. it has proved to this point to be enough to reach their goals every year. this year is what all middle tn fans wanted. a chance for each of their top programs to knock off the rebels. so, lets take one game at time ruth co and may the best team win. get'em rebs! b45 are u getting game day jitters yet? mtf, probably already no who your pulling for but will ask anyway. would you like a rematch w/ the rebs or an all ruth co semi's.

Not MTF, but I'm hoping for a Quarles v. Creasy matchup the day after Thanksgiving. That being said... Oakland has their hands full this week.

Oakland has to beat Smyrna first. It's not a guarantee that they do. Smyrna is pretty similar to Oakland in alot of ways. If Oakland does make it that far, I'll be happy with whoever they get. After losing what we did, I wasn't sure we would be back in this situation

Ok I gotta pick your brain on this. I am not in the middle of this argument, but when we talk about the strength of our region it means nothing. But yet " I guess Alcoa and Fulton were terrible. I promise you both those teams can play with any Rutherford County team. Especially Alcoa. " Holds credibility? Shoulda coulda woulda means nothing in Middle as it does in east Tennessee. Am I missing the argument?

A poster saying Alcoa and Fulton could play with you guys Vs non stop bombardment about the greatest district in the Universe ever since 2009 ??? Well actually before 2009. Sensitive much ?

I don't think there is any comparison between the two teams on defense. The 2013 team was much better. Offensively, the two teams are both potent and can strike quick through big plays.

They just didn't play as well togetehr at times. No Doubt they were better across the board, but then looking back that could be said about most teams in the state that were contending.

I guess it was a trick question. Oakland wins or loses against Smyrna still one of you make it. putting you on the spot about our game.

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
