OldRebel2
Good question. That was actually 2010 though wasn't it?[/quote yes 2010
MaryvilleRebels
I seem to put on a lot of weight during football season eating all those brownies and cookies that get passed around in our section after each touchdown. Touchdown brownies will definitely help you pack on the pounds, but it's preparation for the cold December game at the end of the year. MaryvilleRebels
Was Brock playing the first half or did they have him covered or what was the deal tonight with him. I didn't see him until the second half. Wasn't sure if he was hurt, sick or what. He played the entire game. I think Ravenwood was paying a lot of attention to him. They were playing a lot of cover 3 to take away the outside. I think they really just had a great gamelan and executed extremely well. milo118
Did the Rebels score after Robinette went out in 2011? As another poster pointed out that was 2010. And MHS did score a safety in the third qtr of that game.
milo118
So who was it milo? Hillsboro or Melrose? I saw both answers. Someone posted Melrose but didn't give the year. But if you are asking me to see if I know then sorry to disappoint you. Because I don't know. My question was more of a comment than a question really. If someone told me that MHS's starters would get shutout for a complete half I would have that person committed. Did not see that coming. My initial thought was that Ravenwood was going to have to score 35-40 points to have a shot at winning.

BarneySox2007
LOL You got me there! Wow I was certainly shocked. Ravenwood looked like a better prepared team and they were the ones making the plays. I also saw something that I have never seen and that was the Maryville players getting really chippy and frustrated. I guess Ravenwood really got under their skin. They actually did to Maryville what they normally do to everyone else. When they scored on the 63 yard pass play i could see a major difference after that. We were rattled from that point forward. MaryvilleRebels
Barney, you're right. The Rebels offense just never found its stride as well. Credit the Ravens for that. Not sure what exactly they were doing to give Maryville fits but it definitely worked.
MaryvilleRebels
Also have to give some credit to the Ravenwood running game. Their offense wasn't anything special but they ran hard andrive almost always fell forward. They made Maryville pay several times for not wrapping up. BarneySox2007
Hester got my full undivided attention last year. He came in with a good game plan as I've ever seen and I didn't expect any difference this year either. The guy is a very smart football coach no doubt.
