Agreed DL. I think it's a very good situation over there personally. A lot of positives. Hope you are doing good up north.

Yes sir. Still challenges up here but not nearly as many day to day issues. 8-4 last year and should be better this season. Got a chance to make a long run this year if we stay healthy.

So what dominoes will fall? I think Waite will end up somewhere else in metro in some form. Does WC still need a HC? That could make things interesting. Does EN hire a coach right down the road and create another opening? To me this is a very important hire for the school. They got it right in basketball will they get it right for football?

East Nashville will hire from within Metro.  It's the "Metro Way".  As as the case with the majority of football coaches in MNPS the new coach will be one who "can better relate with the diverse ethnicity groups that are in the classrooms."

The next coach is probably a current Metro head coach who has now been the head coach at two separate schools in MNPS.

I also believe a former Firebird standout that's on the coaching staff at PC is among the candidates.

Sad thing is the people hiring have no clue hiring a football coach. Most admin in metro have never played sports or even care about sports.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
