Middle school talk but MNPS just said as of June 1st Charter schools can’t play with Mnps. Some kids have already transferred. I wonder if this is other reason republic is trying to come back because they think it’s gone trick up to high school?? I’ve heard most of the problems was with basketball but most of them kids play both sports. They also said it’s talk about the charters joining TMSSAA

So you are saying that charters cannot co-op with Metro schools for athletics?

If that made it to high school level it would change a couple programs.

Co-op or play in the districts. They said a middle school on the East side of town was fed up and was saying it was unfair.

I like the list.  I would have PC at #1 and think Overton is on the right track; they just need more time.

I actually think PC is to but I don’t wanna be a homer lol. I almost moved us to 3 since EN made it to the state BUT losing 14 seniors did it.

You mean there are people that care about Metro middle school athletics.

Just how bad are the working conditions inside Metro Nashville Public Schools when you have head coaches leaving to become an assistant at some of the lower level D2 schools?  Everyone knows that no private school around has the health insurance benefits or a pension plan that is close to what is offered by MNPS.

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
