Being as good as the schools in the other counties is a pretty admirable goal. Cane Ridge needs to be added to the list,  as well as Antioch, they've playing the toughest schedule in the state this year

agreed.  except maybe the toughest schedule for a public school... : )

What is everyone's current Metro football rankings?

First Post or new Username for ex Pat .....

My early guess based on Metro's 7 on 7 tournament a few weeks ago at Hillsboro, new coaching hires, and returning players that I am aware of.  List order likely changes after Jamborees....

1. PC / East

2. CR / Antioch

3. Hillsboro

4. Overton

5. McGavock / Lawson / HL / Maplewood

7. Stratford / WC

8. Glencliff

I think it is PC/East and then the rest of the pack. I've stated it before, Antioch is my sleeper team to keep an eye on. Their record might not be great given their SEC Western Division like schedule, but my opinion is they will be much improved.

Antioch and Hunters Lane have very tough schedules. Anyone ever take that in consideration when evaluating Metro teams? Antioch plays Lebanon, Nolensville, Mt Juliet, and Oakland to name a few. Hunters Lane is in a region with Beech, Henry County, Springfield, Portland, and Hendersonville. How well are PC and East doing if they’re playing powerhouses every week?

Pearl Cohn plays MBA and CPA this year. They've been pretty consistent throughout Brunetti's tenure of playing anyone. Give them Antioch or HL's schedule and I think they'd fare better than alot of teams. The only one of those teams listed that wouldn't be close to a toss up is Oakland

If Antioch is considered 4th best program in Metro at the end of the season their HC did a heckuva job

Welcome to the boards chad. You sound like a new metro guy. Good to have another one of us on here. To answer you question PC haven’t always been in a big region. They have played and scrimmaged it little bit of everybody. Also out of that list it’s only 2-3 power houses on that schedule.

A lot of people sleep on CR and idk why. Year end and out the make some noise and even beat us last year. Has Antioch scored over 14 points every against CR? They have some good skills this year but will the trench’s take a huge step? They play Gallatin this week and it will tell a lot!

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
