I think we need to look at do we really need the top 4 teams from each region making the playoffs? How many regions can say their 4th place team has a legitimate shot at a title run? In a time where player safety is one of the biggest concerns extending the season and creating the lopsided mismatches in the playoffs doesn't seem to fit that narrative.

I wouldn't say Tyner has a shot at the title, but they are a top 10 team.

However, you and I are talking common sense, but the TSSAA only cares about the money.

Sure let Unaka go ahead and forfeit. After all, quitting when things don't necessarily go your way is the thing now a days. It's all about entitlement and themselves, not the betterment of the team and the athletic program as a whole. Just ask Jalen Hurd, I'm sure he can tell us all about it!

I was speaking to OnB, coaches and administrations from other schools yesterday and this looks bad on Carter Co as a whole.

 

But, I don't lay this at the kid's feet....In K-12th we have ADULTS there to make decisions because all the others are CHILDREN!

 

Just remember, I've said over and over, there's something else to this story and it will come out

Why cant the TSSAA allow a "wildcard" situation to happen to find an opponent?

I'm about sure "adults" were behind the move more so than the kids.....Not really my concern...But the rest of the story will rear its ugly head.

It won't affect Hampton, Cloudland nor HV....Everyone knows what we're made of but Stoney Creek will have this over their heads for some time I'm afraid

I also heard more bad news from Unaka.It seems their baseball team won't play this year either.When asked during a interview in the paper the coach said"my school don't have enough balls in fact they don't have any!!!"

Yea, don't think this will nor should it be laid at the feet of the kids...It appears it should, but I'm not convinced it was "their" desire and plan
