I agree...that's what worries me. There was a lot of frustration at Hillsboro this season, and it wasn't just Clayton being frustrated

I did not think of Williams at Overton. Was he hired as head coach there by Pelham? Would be an interesting story if he ended up at Hillsboro. My sources still say Gore is the choice. We shall see.

Williams was hired by pelham. He was also an assistant at hillsboro a while ago. But would he leave his Alma mater for another metro school.

You have to give credit to anyone that would want to coach in metro. I talked to a couple of retired coaches from the system. They said its nearly impossible to "coach" anymore. Not sure if that is the case at the Boro, I can't imagine its much different.

The ridiculous thing is that they both did to themselves. Do some research and you will see they were the ones at fault. Some of what they did do and some of what they did not do cost them their jobs.

I don't mean any offense at all, but I have to respectfully disagree. The things that the two of them (and the other coaches) had to put up at Hillsboro when it comes to players, their families, and even the principal were crazy.

I somewhat agree here.. If Lopez was certified then it wouldn't have been an issue ( although I do believe metro has hired numerous HC who aren't certified)

 

In the end Hillsboro will be fine, Clayton obviously is fine, and Lopez will be fine. Coaching changes happen. Nothing different in this situation

Coach Clayton has been successful everywhere he has been, incredible overall career.  If the administration goes with williams or gore they could not go wrong.  I know that the principal is very familiar with both of those guys.

Metro had no issue putting principals in place who were not certified, why not let a coach in the process of getting his transitional license by the end of the school year apply?
